DrH Autodesk engineering tools

DrH/Pricing

Two paid tiers. The whole library, kept current.

DrH is not a one-off download that ages badly. Autodesk ships a new host year every spring, and the library moves with it. Pro is $100 per user per year for one engineer. Max is $375 a year for a firm, as a fixed pack of 5 users. Both cover everything published in that year — including tools you ask for.

Exactly 5 users. Tell us the hosts you run.

The part people actually buy: you can ask for tools.

Most add-in packs give you a fixed set and leave you to work around the gaps. DrH is built the other way round. The library is the product, and it grows because Pro users point at the tedious part of their week and ask for it to go away.

Describe the task, not the code

Write what you do by hand today and how often. You do not need to specify an API, a command name or a dialog layout.

You hear back either way

Every request gets a straight answer: it is being built, it needs narrowing, or it is out of scope and here is why.

It arrives in your panel

Accepted tools are published to the library. Press Update in the DrH panel and the new command is there — no installer, no IT ticket.

Everyone else gets it too

Unless you ask for it to stay private, an accepted tool joins the shared library. The library you buy into is the one other engineers keep improving.

Built for the year you run

A new tool is published against the host years you are actually on, matched to the right runtime channel, not just the newest release.

Keep it in-house if you need to

On Max a requested tool can be published to a private feed that only your office can see.

Commit longer, pay less.

A longer term is billed once, up front, and the rate is locked for the whole of it — including through any list price change. There is no monthly option on any tier.

Multi-year terms, billed up front. Savings are against paying year by year.

Billing questions.

What exactly does a licence cover?

One named person, on as many workstations as that person works at. If an engineer has a desk machine and a laptop, that is one licence, not two.

Pro or Max — which one do I want?

Pro if you are buying for yourself: $100 a year, one named user. Max if you are buying for an office: $375 a year for a fixed pack of 5 users. Worth knowing that four Pro licences cost $400 while the five-user Max pack costs $375 — if you are close to five people, Max is both cheaper and better suited.

Why is Max sold as a five-user pack?

The private feed, the central distribution and the seat console only make sense for a group, and they carry setup work regardless of size. For fewer than five people, Pro is the honest fit.

Can I pay monthly?

No. Every tier is invoiced yearly in US dollars. If you want to spread the cost, a two- or three-year term is billed once up front for less than paying year by year, with the rate locked for the term.

How much support is included, and what happens if I need more?

Pro includes 1 support email a week; Max includes 3 a week across the whole licence. Unused requests do not roll over. The quota is there to keep replies fast, not to run a meter on you — if something is genuinely broken it gets dealt with regardless of the count.

What if our office has more than five people?

Max is a fixed pack of exactly five users. If you need more seats than that, get in touch before buying and we will work out the right arrangement for your team.

Can I really request any tool?

You can request anything. What gets built is what fits the library: a repeatable task inside Civil 3D, Revit or Navisworks that more than one person would use. Anything too specific to one project is better as a private Max tool.

How long does a requested tool take?

It depends entirely on the ask. You will get a realistic estimate in the reply rather than a queue position, and small routines usually land far sooner than anything that needs a new dialog.

What happens when the year ends?

Tools already installed keep working — nothing is switched off on your machine. What stops is the flow of new tools and updates, until the licence is renewed.

How do I pay?

By invoice, in USD, yearly. Ask for a licence and an invoice comes back with the payment details on it.

Do I need Pro to keep using tools I wrote myself?

No. Importing and running your own packages is free and stays free. Pro is about the maintained library and the requests.

What if a new Autodesk year breaks something?

Support for a new host year is part of the licence, not a paid upgrade. Library tools are republished against the new year as it becomes available.

Refund policy.

Every paid licence comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. If DrH is not what you expected, say so inside the first two weeks and the invoice is refunded in full — no reason required and no forms to fill in.

14 days from the invoice

The window opens the day your payment clears and runs for 14 calendar days. Ask inside it, in writing, and the refund is processed — you do not need to justify the decision.

Full amount, same way it came in

The refund goes back to the account the payment came from, for the full invoiced amount. Expect it to land within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank; any transfer fees charged by your own bank are outside our control.

Multi-year terms

Two- and three-year terms are covered by the same 14 days from the up-front invoice.

After the 14 days

A licence year is not refunded pro rata once the window closes; it simply runs to its end date. Nothing is switched off on your machine — installed tools keep working, and you are free to not renew.

How to ask

Email support@dr-h.uk with the invoice or payment receipt number. A refund is confirmed by reply, and the licence is closed on the same day.

Free tier

The DrH manager itself is free, so there is nothing to refund there. Try it against your own hosts and your own packages before buying a year — that is what it is for.

Privacy policy.

DrH is a small operation, and the data position matches that. We hold what is needed to answer you and to run your licence, and nothing beyond it. This site carries no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers.

What you send us

The request form takes the request type, your email or phone, the host and year, and your message. A request sent from the DrH panel may also include the user name, PC name, MAC address, licence key and build number, because those identify the seat being licensed or debugged.

What we do with it

It is used to reply, to issue and maintain your licence, and to reproduce faults. It is not sold, rented or passed to anyone for marketing, and you will not be added to a mailing list by filling in the form.

Cookies and browser storage

No tracking or advertising cookies are set. The only thing kept in your browser is your theme choice, stored locally on your own machine, which never reaches us.

Where it is processed

The site runs on Cloudflare Pages, and form messages are delivered to our support mailbox through the mail provider wired to it. Those providers keep standard request and delivery logs on our behalf. Cloudflare also tells the site which country you are visiting from; that is used only to show prices in your currency and is not stored.

How long it is kept

Correspondence is kept while your licence is live and for as long as it is useful to support you. Invoices are kept longer because accounting rules require it.

Your copy, or its deletion

Ask at support@dr-h.uk for a copy of what is held against your name, a correction, or deletion, and it is dealt with. Billing records that must be retained for tax are the one exception.

Ready when you are.

Ask for a licence, request an invoice, or send a tool idea and see what comes back. All three go to the same place.
